It was\u00a0filmed in Cape Town earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>The storyline briefly is that Mark and Nandi from Berlin fly to Cape Town to get married, with only four days to plan the wedding, with <!--more-->wedding planner Rosa and her assistant (in the photograph above, taken at Maiden&#8217;s Cove, with Camps Bay in the background) racing through Cape Town for flowers, a wedding cake, a wedding dress and suit, rings, and more.<\/p>\n<p>The film showed off so much of our city&#8217;s beauty, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Table Mountain, with South Easter clouds and without<\/li>\n<li>Camps Bay beach, and its Promenade<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.whalecottage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Einfach-Roa-camp-bay.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-74254\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.whalecottage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Einfach-Roa-camp-bay.jpg?resize=267%2C189\" alt=\"Einfach Roa camp bay\" width=\"267\" height=\"189\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Victoria Road between Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles Hotel<\/li>\n<li>Lion&#8217;s Head<\/li>\n<li>The colorful beach huts of Muizenberg<\/li>\n<li>Kayaking on a very calm ocean<\/li>\n<li>Bo-Kaap<\/li>\n<li>The Victoria &amp; Alfred Waterfront<\/li>\n<li>The \u00a0Restaurant at Waterkloof in Somerset West, with its modern building hanging on the edge of a mountain cliff, is the focus for an important part of the movie action.<\/li>\n<li>The Cape Town International Convention Centre doubles up as the Cape Town International Airport<\/li>\n<li>A MyCiTi Bus features in the background<\/li>\n<li>Bread in Woodstock doubles up as a bakery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The bride-to-be&#8217;s mother lives in a mansion in what must be Bishopscourt, and she tells the father of the groom-to-be that he does not have to pay for the wedding, as he should not think that &#8216;black people&#8217; in South Africa are all poor! The father-of-the groom is grumpy, complaining about the variable Internet connection. He also moans about the prices of the food at The Restaurant at Waterkloof, mentioning R1400 for a starter, ludicrous of course. He regards the price for a venison main course at \u20ac50 as indulgent and expensive! The grumpy father also makes the dreadful statement that Cape Town is the &#8216;<em>crime capital of the world<\/em>&#8216;! The wedding caterers\u00a0are called &#8216;Restaurant Stellenbosch&#8217;. The fantastic sunny weather all summer long in our city gets a very favorable mention.<\/p>\n<p>The movie ends off differently compared to how things were planned, but it works out well for all the key characters of the movie!
