\"image\"<\/a>The Sweet Service Award<\/strong> goes to New Media Publishing and its Eat Out<\/strong> management team for doing such a good job in changing its Restaurant Awards venue 48 hours before the event (one could ask why the fly problem at Mistico Equestrian Centre was not identified in the first place!), most of the attendees being happy to not drive out to Paarl! \u00a0Commendable is the questionnaire emailed last night, with 33 questions evaluating every aspect of the venue, shuttle service, registration process, serving staff, food, audio-visual, the ‘tone<\/em>‘, time of day, length of the event, price\/value for money, with a number of qualitative questions to explain what one liked and did not like.<\/p>\n

\"image\"<\/a>The Sour Service Award<\/strong> goes to Woolworths for its mindless store display of six ‘black’ mannequins chained together for its recycled denim clothing! It caused a storm on Social Media. The retailer responded as follows<\/a><\/strong><\/span>: ‘Hi everyone.\u00a0<\/em>We apologise for the distress caused by an incorrectly assembled in-store installation. \u00a0<\/em>At the start of any campaign, our stores are taken through the creative direction for installations via a \u2018model store\u2019 set up. This festive season\u2019s installation is supposed to hold Christmas baubles suspended off ropes, being supported by the mannequins. One store implemented the installation incorrectly, using the rope without the Christmas baubles.\u00a0<\/em>The mannequins used in displays are made from recycled materials which is why they are naturally grey in colour; they don\u2019t represent a particular race. \u00a0<\/em>As soon as we became aware of the error yesterday afternoon we contacted the relevant team to make sure the mistake was corrected as soon as possible. The offending display is now fixed’<\/em>!<\/p>\n
