It has been hung in the International Arrivals Hall, measuring 6 meters by 3 meters.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of the Madiba tapestry was funded by music stars Bono &amp; The Edge of U2, John Legend, Peter Gabriel, Sting, and Yoko Ono. \u00a0Art for Amnesty founder Bill Shipsey said about the new Tapestry: <em>&#8216;This tapestry is a fitting tribute to Nelson Mandela, a champion of human rights across the world. It will provide a constant reminder to the millions of people passing through the Cape Town International airport about his legacy, not only for South Africa but for the world&#8217;.<\/em> \u00a0<em>&#8216;Madiba sacrificed his own freedom to see a better world for everyone.
