\"image\"The Sour Service Award <\/b>goes to the Carrington House Hotel in Bournemouth, booked via Booking.com. It was a Fawlty Towers experience, every request I had of the reception man being answered with ‘No’, including a bucket of ice (the ice machine had broken down), assistance with getting my suitcase up to my first floor room, air conditioning (I was shown the fan in the wardrobe), a later check out than 10h00 the following day, and maddingly, there was no wifi in the bedroom, only available in the public areas, being the hotel lobby! A manager lady went to fetch ice from a neighboring hotel, and found an extra pillow. My request for a glass to drink water in the room was forgotten by her! I was told that a new accommodation group had bought the hotel six months ago, and therefore things were so chaotic!<\/p>\n
