\"\"The Leeu Collection is on an acquisition trail, and appears unstoppable in expanding its hospitality portfolio, in not only acquiring restaurants and accommodation establishments locally, but hotels in Europe, their U.K.-based Linthwaite House acquired last year being followed up by a new purchase in Florence, the former Collegio Alla Querce.<\/p>\n

The historic Collegio Alla Querce will be transformed into a five-star 70 bedroom luxury hotel, opening in four years from now. It was formerly a boarding school as well as a hotel, and the size of the property is extensive, the buildings covering more than 13000m2, and the Park size is even bigger. On the property is a chapel and a theatre too. <\/p>\n

The property will be redeveloped, and restaurants, a Spa, and meeting rooms added. It will reflect Leeu Collection founder Mr Analjit Singh’s vision of ‘creating unrivalled escapes and offering visitors extraordinary experiences’<\/i>, according to the media statement.<\/p>\n

Mr Singh added: ‘We will remain true to the pillars of our brand: inspiring art collections, distinct architecture and design; manicured and detailed landscaping that reflects respect for the environment; superlative service with attention to the smallest detail; spectacular views and an outstanding food and wine experience’.<\/i><\/p>\n

‘Given the Florence hospitality and tourism boom and the improving economic backdrop rejuvenating the European hotel sector, this new development is well-timed and complements our existing portfolio. The Leeu Collection team will create an unforgettable experience in a superb setting<\/i>‘, he concluded.<\/p>\n

Leeu Collection consists of Leeu Estates in Franschhoek, Leeu House in Franschhoek, Le Quartier Fran\u00e7ais in Franschhoek, Marigold restaurant in Franschhoek, Tuk Tuk craft microbrewery in Franschhoek, is a partner in Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines based in Franschhoek and the Swartland, has a branch of the Everard Read art gallery in Franschhoek, and Linthwaite House in the Lake District in the U.K.<\/p>\n
