This leaves the new restaurant ineligible for an Eat Out Top Ten Restaurant Award for this year.<\/b><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The media release received from the Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa announced that Luke Dale Roberts X Saxon \u2018<i>will close<\/i>\u2019 on 31 March, and that \u2018<i>a brand new offering headed by Chef Candice Philip will be opening in this space early April 2018\u2019. &nbsp;<\/i>I&nbsp;enquired about the new name of the restaurant, <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-98366\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/82B9B629-A635-4CF2-A2FC-E20D84128909-300x213.jpeg?resize=300%2C213&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/82B9B629-A635-4CF2-A2FC-E20D84128909.jpeg?resize=300%2C213&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/82B9B629-A635-4CF2-A2FC-E20D84128909.jpeg?resize=150%2C107&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/82B9B629-A635-4CF2-A2FC-E20D84128909.jpeg?w=550&amp;ssl=1 550w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/>but it has not yet been finalised.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Chef Luke is quoted as saying that the new restaurant is a great opportunity for Chef Candice, and that he eagerly awaits \u2018<i>to see what she comes up with at The Saxon to take it forward to its next culinary level\u2019.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Chef Candice is a highly talented creative chef, and she will no doubt have grown even further with her collaboration with Chef Luke.
