The La Colombe Group is growing its portfolio by adding two restaurants in Cape Town, both in the Waterfront, reports Eat Out.
This makes La Colombe the largest company-owned restaurant group, with 3 Franschhoek-based restaurants, and soon 4 Cape Town Restaurants.
Eat Out supplied the following details about the new Waterfront Restaurants:
# The names of the new restaurants are PIER Restaurant and The Waterside Restaurant.
# The two restaurants will both be located in the Pierhead Building, between the NSRI and Life Grand Café.
# It is intended to be ‘an experience the Waterfront has never seen before – for both locals and international guests alike’, according to Scott Kirton of the La Colombe Group.
# PIER Restaurant will offer a multi-course Fine Dining eating experience. Its Kitchen will be headed up by John Norris-Rogers, previously at La Petite Colombe in Franschhoek. Food will be ocean focussed, with ‘tableside theatrics’.
# The Waterside Restaurant Kitchen will be run by Roxy Maudie, who has been the Sous Chef of La Colombe and Protégé. Two Tasting menus will be offered: a 4 and an 8 course, in this more informal restaurant.
No opening date has been provided.
