The Sweet Service Award goes to Computicket Camps Bay, and its representative William, located inside the Theatre on the Bay. On buying tickets for the new Pieter-Dirk Uys show, after not being in the theatre building for almost two years, it was a wonderful surprise to see William again, and to experience his wonderful service again. He has worked in this branch for years’ and knows all the locals.
The Sour Service Award goes to Pick n Pay Camps Bay, for the Manager on duty doing a meat stocktake at 18h00 when his store was bursting at the seams on Sunday, with the following day being a public holiday, and the good weather attracting many beachgoers to Camps Bay. The Covid protocols were not being followed, and I wanted to report this to him. It took half an hour to connect with him, no staff appearing to know where he was!
The WhaleTales Sweet & Sour Service Awards are presented every Friday on the WhaleTales blog.
