The Sweet Service Award goes to Dinkel Bakery, and its Cain, who kindly assisted me in getting my poppyseed rolls yesterday when I ran out of time to collect them before he closed the Deli and coffee shop. He left them at the nearby superette, and said that I could pay for them when I collect my weekly order next week, when I called him. Cain is a fantastic service ambassador for Dinkel Bakery.
The Sour Service Award goes to Vodacom, who sent me a statement to show that I have a credit of 7 cents with the cellphone company, having recently cancelled my contract. I was instructed to pay an exact amount of money to cancel the contract, so there should not have been a credit. I would not waste my time to claim the credit! One wonders how many other customers have been overcharged and feel the same way!
The WhaleTales Sweet & Sour Service Awards are presented every Friday on the WhaleTales blog. Nominations for the Sweet and Sour Service Awards can be sent to Chris von Ulmenstein at chrisvonulmenstein [at] gmail.com.
