Cape Town water supply Day Zero estimate was extended by two months, to 13 May 2018, now reduced to 3 May!
Yesterday I attended the launch of a water saving awareness campaign initiated in the heart of Cape Town by Urban Lime, on Church Square. Mayor Patricia de Lille announced that the City of Cape Town’s recent forecast of an extension of the water supply ‘Day Zero’ by two months, to 13 May, has been amended to 3 May 2018, given an increase in water consumption during the recent rain. Sweet Service Award goes to Tanur Jewelers! Sour Service Award goes to Kamaldien Jewelers!
The Sweet Service Award goes to Tanur Jewellery in the V&A Waterfront, where I not only found a tanzanite eternity ring, after a long struggle to find the perfect match with my other tanzanite rings, but also enjoyed excellent Service, in having the ring enlarged. The ring was finished before the promised time, and I was called, to invite me to collect it. It was accompanied with a certificate, unlike my poor experience at Kamaldien Jewelers, also in the Waterfront. Continue reading →
Sweet Service Award to Café Roux; Sour Service Award goes to Olga Jewelry Design Studio!
The Sweet Service Award goes to Café Roux on Shortmarket Street, and its Manager Lauren Parks, for finding a seat for me in the sold out performance by Acoustic Element, as I had not booked. Lauren always makes a plan. The latest Café Roux evening was made even more special in that local artist Jimmy Nevis sat next to me at the same table!
The Sour Service Award goes to Olga Jewelry Design Studio in the V&A Waterfront, and its sales person Sandra Weichbold, who was rude when I wanted to proceed with my order to have a tanzanite and diamond eternity ring manufactured. Sandra did not bother to come to the counter when I arrived, and then struggled to find the quotation that Debby had sent me. I had to provide the details to her. She told me that I was rude, when I asked what was taking her so long to find the quote, and that is when I left the shop and cancelled the ring manufacture! What a blessing it was, finding the perfect ring at Tanur jewelers, also in the Waterfront.
