President Ramaphosa announces that public schools are to close from 27 July, for up to a month, and that strict action will be taken against Covid-19 fund and supply corruption!

 

In a speech made eleven days after the previous speech, the shortest interval in Presidential speeches during Lockdown, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that public schools will close from Monday, for as short as one week and up to four weeks. He also announced strict measures against financial and supply corruption related to Corona Virus Essential supplies.

Sadly, he did not address the plight of the Restaurant industry, which went out on the streets yesterday, and will do so again tomorrow, when its staff, suppliers, and customers head for Parliament.
