The Sweet Service Award goes to Supa Quick and its mechanic Nico, for making a plan to fix a brake pad problem on my car on a Saturday, the new brake pads having been installed by Arnold’s Auto Services just a month ago. One of the pins holding the brake pad had broken, and was scratching the tyre rim, making a dreadful noise. Nico replaced it with a temporary pin until they could order the part from the supplier on a weekday, without charge. Continue reading →

Maison Sweet Service and Arnold’s Auto Services Sour Service Awards!
The Sweet Service Award goes to Maison, for its generous service for my son’s wedding lunch earlier this week. I had booked a table, and we chose to sit in the new Deli section, which had been cleared for our party. Chef Arno Janse van Rensburg sent a complimentary platter of dishes from their new Tapas menu. His team also made a surprise celebratory chocolate cake for the newly-weds. Continue reading →
