Boudha Lounge serves authentic Cantonese cuisine in town, DJ René plays Tuesdays in October!

On Thursday I was invited to try the newish Boudha Lounge on Buiten Street, in the block between Loop and Long streets, offering Cantonese cuisine. Its marketing is managed by well-known Justin Paul Jansen, and his formula is to offer a restaurant and bar service to guests, as well as a DJ box, with a line-up of different DJs on different evenings. Eat Out awards Best Everyday Eateries 2018 in the Cape, Gauteng, and KwaZulu-Natal!

It’s an Eat Out week, with the restaurant guide announcing not only its Top 30 Restaurant nominations for 2018, but also celebrating the top Everyday Eateries for the Western Cape, Gauteng, and KwaZulu-Natal. New Protégé Restaurant to open at Le Quartier Français, second Le Colombe Group restaurant!

The Leeu Collection announced yesterday that its Le Quartier Français hotel has closed its Garden Room and Bar, to make way for Protégé, a new casual-style Eatery managed by Chef Scot Kirton, who already owns Le Petite Colombe restaurant in the Franschhoek hotel. The Yard opens in Waterfront’s Silo District as multi-cultural cuisine Lifestyle Restaurant, Bar, Deli, and Homeware outlet!

The new The Yard in the Silo District of the V&A Waterfront opened last week, as a multi-cultural cuisine restaurant, but also offering a bar, a homeware shop, and a Deli. It is the most unique restaurant I have experienced, in its diverse food offering. Continue reading →
