Restaurant industry dealt another blow, with additional Laboùr Fees to be paid, without industry input!

 

Earlier this week the restaurant industry, already on its knees in the current Level 3 Adjusted Lockdown, was dealt a further devastating blow, with the announcement that a new Bargaining Council for the Fast Food, Restaurant, Catering and Allied Trades has been established, prescribing wages, additional fees to be paid to staff, levies due, funeral benefit and provident fund contributions to be deducted, and an annual bonus to be paid to staff.

The restaurant industry did not see these regulations coming, and is already struggling to have enough business to pay their overheads during the current Lockdown Level 3.
