Cause Effect Cocktail Kitchen opens in Camps Bay for the summer season, creative cocktails, good food presentation!

 

World class Cause Effect Cocktail Kitchen  has opened in Camps Bay as a summer pop-up, in the space previously known as Sunset Sessions, below the Bay Hotel on Victoria Road. It is the second branch of this Cocktail Kitchen,  its larger Waterfront Branch being the home to many Award-winning mixologists and used for bartending competitions.

Patrón Perfectionists 2019 SA cocktail competition finals has highest number of female finalists, but won by Cause & Effect mixologist David van Zyl!

On Thursday evening I attended the 2019 Finals of the Patrón Perfectionists tequila cocktail competition at Cause Effect Cocktail Kitchen and Cape Brandy Bar in the Waterfront, after a first part of the event had been held at Foliage in Franschhoek earlier in the day. Despite the largest number of female finalists over the past three years of the South African participation in the competition, the 2019 SA finals was won by David van Zyl, mixologist at Cause Effect Cocktail Kitchen! Patrón Perfectionists 2019 sees more women mixologist SA finalists! Part One

On Thursday I attended Patrón Perfectionists 2019, a two-prong event that was held in Franschhoek and in the Waterfront to select the winner of the 2019 Patrón Tequila cocktail competition, out of a finalist list of 15 mixologists from around the country. Cape Town mixologist David van Zyl of Cause & Effect Cocktail Kitchen won the competition, winning an entry into the Global Finals against 21 other mixologists in Mexico in January 2020.
