Sounds of silence at Franschhoek Boutique Hotel, central location, excellent service!
Since selling my guest houses I have stayed at a mix of self-catering and guest houses in Franschhoek, and have been very disappointed. Franschhoek Boutique Hotel GM Llewellyn Lambert took pity on my Franschhoek accommodation experiences, as documented in Sour Service Awards on this Blog, and invited me to come and stay at the hotel. He had showed me around just after it was completed a few months ago, but this was my first stay.
Reuben’s Franschhoek closes end May, reopens at new location in September!
Reuben’s Franschhoek will close the doors on its current premises on the main road on 31 May, and will re-open at its new premises in September. Continue reading →
Is this the new home of Reuben’s Franschhoek 2016?
It never fails to astound me how much changes regularly in Franschhoek as far as restaurants are concerned. I had heard some time ago that Reuben’s Chef Reuben Riffel will not renew his lease next year, and yesterday I was shown the building that he is said to have bought (above).
