Minimum wage of hospitality staff increases by 7,4% from today, now close to R2500 per month!

The Minimum Wage for the Hospitality Sector (including hotels, guest houses and restaurants) has been increased by 7,4% by the Department of Labour from today, and is now R2240,60 per month for businesses with 10 or fewer employees, and R 2495,80 for businesses with more than 10 employees.

The increase is on 1 July every year, and the increase was higher than the 5,2% last year due to the higher Consumer Price Index at 6,4% currently.

Hospitality Minimum Wage increases by 5,2%, over R2000 now!

The Minimum Wage for the Hospitality Sector has been increased by 5,2 % by the Department of Labour from tomorrow, and is now R2084,52 per month for businesses with 10 or fewer employees, and R2323,87 for businesses with more than 10 employees.  The increase is on 1 July every year, and the increase was reduced this year due to the lower Consumer Price Index.

The new Minimum Wages are as below:
