Lou Lou’s offers excellent value Tapas Lunch in De Waterkant!

In one and a half years since opening in the Cape Quarter, Lou Lou’s has established itself as a nighttime Bar and Eatery. With its amazingly competitive  R65 Tapas Lunch offering, Lou Lou’s has now established itself as a value for money informal Lunch destination in De Waterkant, with friendly service, judging by the very busy outside deck at lunchtime yesterday.

Zeitz MOCAA FOOD chic interior, serves light Café and Bistro menu until the end of January!

On Friday I was in the Silo District, showing my young friend Bella Bauer around this new area in the Waterfront. Spontaneously we decided to eat at FOOD, on the sixth floor of the Zeitz MOCAA Museum of Contemporary African Art. We found a stylish eatery with a Cafë and Bistro Menu, which runs until the end of the month before the eatery switches to a two- and three-course Menu. Continue reading →

Holden Manz adds creative flavours to its food and wine pairings!

On Friday a group of writers was invited on behalf of Holden Manz, by its marketing consultant Tanya Fourie.  We were taken on a tour of the Holden Manz wine cellar, tasted its latest wine vintages, introduced to the new Holden Manz Chenin Blanc to be launched soon, and spoilt with an excellent lunch prepared by Chef Ricardo Le Roux and paired with some of the Holden Manz wines.  Continue reading →
