Monday 28 June 2021, Day 1 of Level 4 Adjusted 😷

Corona Gratitude šŸ™

#gratitude for a day of rain, rain and rain, I likening it to the heavens crying with the Restaurant and Alcohol industries; for a day initially feeling uncoordinated, waiting to hear from my clients about what they are planning, only Harvest Culture Eaterie offering Delivery and Collection from their Deli, but now in my normal working swing; for only one break from the rain, this afternoon, getting to Woolworths and back, making up the rest of my steps by walking in the garage; for a Deja vu Lockdown feeling, for not getting out of the house (due to the rain) for almost all of the day; for having to have telephonic or Zoom client meetings for the next two weeks; for an efficient Takealot delivery; for being sad today for all of us affected by the new restaurant regulations; and for being healthy and free. šŸ™šŸ’™

I’m so moved by our lovely restaurant clients writing messages on Facebook and Instagram to our restaurants, wishing them well and hoping they will reopen soon. 🄲🄲🄲

I’ve started up my Take-Away Restaurant list in my Lockdown Restaurants Facebook Group again, and am delighted to see how many new members and restaurants signed up and posted today.

I met the new tenant of the Ebbtide 201 Party Apartment of Sacha Jack today, staying for 7 weeks, on his own. Holding thumbs that he’ll be the quiet type. šŸ™Ā At 9h00 this morning a fumigator arrived to fumigate the apartment, a machine which sounded like someone drilling in my apartment, it was so loud, without notification tonthevapartmebt owners by the inconsiderate owner!

I had a lovely chat to my Alex this evening. My friend Stuart Bailey called this morning, asking me if I knew if Alex is in an Amazon TV series called ā€˜Clarkson’s Farm’, episode 3. Of course I knew nothing about it, so I called him. Stuart was spot on, it being filmed in March last year, but the series only having been released a week ago. #jeremyclarkson

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, Ā extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June Ā is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
