Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 18, 13 April 2020.

Monday 13 April 2020, Day 29 of SA Corona Virus, Day 18 of SA Lockdown. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for being over the halfway mark of the extended Corona Lockdown, having become a new way of life, so peaceful and calm; that KitKat returned this afternoon after leaving for an extended prowl this morning, a happy reunion; for another beautiful day, sunny, but with a misty start, the mist wrapped in layers around Lion’s Head; for Carel Liebenberg driving past my home, and stopping when he saw me, us chatting from a distance, I on my terrace and he at his car in the street; for lovely Kfm music this afternoon, making it easy to exceed my walk/dance quota; for having the energy to do a kitchen drawer clean and tidy up, gaining 500 steps from this alone; and for feeling fit and healthy. 🙏💙

It is sad that many families are taking strain during the Lockdown, especially as today is Family Day, falling in Lockdown. 😪😪😪 #Vasbyt en sterkte.

Alain Barrios Chávez wrote to me from Havana, with sad news (Google Translated)

Hello good day.
How are you?
Here everything is the same, only the novelty that I can no longer go to the hostel because
the government removed all transportation so people don’t go out and just
those who are indispensable are working all the other people who
we live in this part of the city we cannot go to Havana.
closed the hostel because the others who work there also live far away and not
They have how to go.It is not known until when we will be without transportation.
food situation is getting worse, there are already around 800 in the country
cases and 21 deceased, for where I live there have not been so many cases.
Well that’s how we are for now.
When you can write to me.

SA Corona Status: 2272 cases, 27 deaths 😷😥

The Corona Virus Lockdown, announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
