Monday 30 March 2020, Day 15 of SA Corona Virus, Day 4 of Lockdown😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for another beautiful day; for a good long night’s sleep; for being healthy and fit; for keeping my weight steady; for feeling happy, especially when I dance to Kfm💃; for having Woolworths so close and for its excellent service in organizing stock of products they are short of; for finding masks and sanitizers at Litekem Pharmacy today; for passing my Garden Route exam; for reconnecting and forgiving; for the City of Cape Town trucks collecting garbage from the green bins plus our residential bins; for exceeding my step goal today; and our ever more amazing President . 🙏💙
I did my Blogpost of the day. My feet started moving early on to the lovely Kfm music, even though the reception has been up and down due to the Internet sea cable problems. 5000 steps easily done by lunchtime. I started my next book, creating its Content outline. 💙
My ‘missing’ Argentinian neighbours have reappeared, now living above me and no longer next to me .😱
I’d heard that Litekem pharmacy in Camps Bay has stock of Santiser spray and liquid, as well as masks, so I headed there to buy some. They have gloves too, which I’ll buy on my next shopping trip. Woolworths had celery sticks for me, and I found marshmallows at a very quiet Pick n Pay. I’ve decided to do a nightly marshmallow toasting using my candles to celebrate another successful Lockdown day. I walked to the shops via Camps Bay Drive, picking up litter on the way.
Lovely Vitamin D intake on my terrace this afternoon, good for the immune system. Then long phone chats with Martin Koch and Stuart Bailey.
I received my Garden Route Tourist Guiding exam mark, not very happy with 74%, far beneath my normal mark level, but it was a difficult one with too little time. At least I have passed and have the certificate. 🙏
Waiting for President Cyril’s next speech, due for 19h30. Just happened, he speaks so calmly and positively, giving us hope in the crisis. ❤️

The Corona Virus Lockdown, announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
