Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful 26C day, before the weekend rain arrives; for loving this Lockdown, yet being able to shop, fetching gloves from Litekem and some essentials at Woolies; for being able to pick up litter along the way; for receiving a Discovery Vitality Gameboard play, not getting one last week; for more dancing and power walking in my ‘gym’ today; for the Vitamin D I get from my sunshine terrace; for there being no silly April Fool jokes except one from Fairview; and for feeling good and healthy. 🙏💙

A story broke this morning, Eat Out announcing that it is cancelling the 2020 Awards scheduled for 22 November, and announcing a fund drive for restaurants. I tested this story to make sure that it wasn’t an April Fool joke – it would have been sick if it was one.

Interesting news coming from The Test Kitchen Group, which I will sit down and write shortly.

I encountered eight homeless persons between The Promenade and Bali Bay beach when I walked back from the shops. It does feel wonderful to go shopping, I’ve never looked forward to it so much.

There were fewer cars driving and fewer shoppers walking past today.

The Corona Virus Lockdown, announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime.
