Stellenbosch Vineyards has launched Enaleni, a new Fairtrade-certified range of premium quality wines. The sales of the wine range will ‘uplift its community from a history of inequality to a place of abundance’.
The Enaleni wine range consists of a Sauvignon Blanc, crisp with fruity aromas and hints of peppers, and a Cabernet Sauvignon, rich and smooth with layers of dark fruit, cassis and mint. Grapes are sourced from Stellenbosch. The grapes are sustainably grown, handpicked, and matured.
‘The launch of Enaleni is intended to make a measurable difference in the lives of those living and working on the Enaleni farm as the profits from the wine sales will assist with the empowerment of the community so that they can one day take ownership of their business‘, said Carli Jordaan, Stellenbosch Vineyards Brand Co-ordinator.
Stellenbosch Vineyards is managing the Marketing, Skills Development, Distribution, and Winemaking for the Enaleni wines.
Eduan Steynberg, Stellenbosch Vineyards MD, said about the partnership: ‘As one of the leading wine producers and exporters in South Africa, we as a business pay great attention to the economic, human and environmental strengths of our country. It is with this attention that we strongly support our local grape farmers and have decided to walk a journey with Enaleni’.
