Sweet Service Award goes to Apple iStore; Sour Service Award goes to Vodacom!

The Sweet Service Award goes to the Apple iStore in the Waterfront, and its technician in the Service Department, who helped me efficiently to transfer all my data in my cellphone to a new iPhone XR which I had upgraded to at Vodacom. He used the iCloud to quickly and efficiently transfer the data, and helped me to set up the phone. Apple charges R200 for this service compared to the R150 by Vodacom, a small extra price to pay for far greater efficiency.

The Sour Service Award goes to Vodacom in the Waterfront, as well as its sister branch Cellucity, neither of which were able to transfer the data on my existing cellphone to my new iPhone XR which I had upgraded to, between the two stores. The two outlets transfer the data to their computers, and then they transfer it to their client’s new cellphone, to prevent any virus issues. In both outlets they told me that they could not transfer the data to their computer, the data on my cellphone being corrupt! Neither of the two outlets thought of doing the data transfer via the iCloud! The service at the Vodacom Waterfront Branch is deteriorating rapidly!
