The Sweet Service Award goes the City of Cape Town’s Cleansing Department, which cleaned up beaches between Bakoven and Blouberg today on Reconciliation Day, litter having washed in from the ocean. Part of the clean-up will have been done in the thunderstorm and rain earlier today, making it even more appreciated!

The Sour Service Award goes to Ebbtide 202 apartment and its owner Sacha Jack for her Air BnB  check-in person Kent attempting to break into my storeroom in our apartment garage, catching him in the act as I walked into the garage after returning from a walk. He also parked in an incorrect bay belonging to another owner, half of his car protruding into the driving space! He also used the garage door as a pedestrian entrance instead of the sliding doors we have on either side of the building, draining the garage door battery, leading to the garage door not operating in Stage 6 of Loadshedding!

The WhaleTales Sweet & Sour Service Awards are presented every Friday on the WhaleTales blog. Nominations for the Sweet and Sour Service Awards can be sent to Chris von Ulmenstein at chrisvonulmenstein [at] gmail.com. Past winners of the Sweet and Sour Service Awards can be read on the Friday posts of this blog.
