The Sweet Service Award goes to Woolworths Camps Bay, and its staff member Nicole, who took the trouble to find two boxes of multipack Whiskas pouches which the store did not have in stock, to fetch them, and to alert me to the availability within 24 hours of my request. Fantastic service.
The Sour Service Award goes to Pick ‘n Pay Camps Bay, deemed to be the worst branch in the country by local residents, for the store having a bad smell, fresh produce not being fresh, for rats having been seen, for not enough staff at the tills creating endlessly long queues, for not having an express queue, and for staff not being friendly. Many residents shop at Woolworths Camps Bay instead or at Checkers in Sea Point.
The WhaleTales Sweet & Sour Service Awards are presented every Friday on the WhaleTales blog. Nominations for the Sweet and Sour Service Awards can be sent to Chris von Ulmenstein at chrisvonulmenstein [at] gmail.com. Past winners of the Sweet and Sour Service Awards can be read on the Friday posts of this blog.
