Sweet Service Award to Charles Greig, Sour Service Award goes to Deukom!

imageThe Sweet Service Award goes to Charles Greig jewellers, for their invitation via Marina Nestel to attend their cocktail function last night, to celebrate the redecoration of their V&A Waterfront store, from which they have operated for twenty years. I had not been there for a number of years, not going to that section of the Waterfront anymore, having previously bought some tanzanite rings at the outlet.

imageThe Sour Service Award goes to Deukom, and their Debit Controller Marilyn Sass, for her rudeness in dealing with my request for a signal to my new DSTV decoder. I had spoken in English, and she insisted on speaking and writing to me in German. Then I was instructed to email my request, with a decoder number, smart card number, decoder model details, and a chip security number! In the past this could be done immediately and telephonically. I was then told that it would take 1-2 days to receive their signal, despite having to pay for a full month! She had promised to email her details immediately, but did not do so until the following day. It took three days from calling to receive the signal!
