Utopia set the benchmark for affordable Tasting Menus, when it launched its first 5-course Summer Tasting Menu at R195 in November 2020.

Since then Utopia has become one of the most popular restaurants in Cape Town, not only for its good value dining, but also for its magnificent views from  its 15th floor location on Chiappini Street, in the heart of Cape Town.

Utopia Chef Dennis Luke introduced the new Winter Tasting Menu, launched today, to the Utopia waitron staff, with a tasting.

The brand new five-course Winter Tasting Menu at Utopia Cape Town costs R285 for five courses, or R420 with a wine pairing:

Course 1: Deshelled spicy prawns, lemon, chili, garlic, caviar, ciabatta

Course 2: Spiced lemon butter grilled fish skewer, cauliflower rice, spinach emulsion, tempura crumb

Course 3: Seared beef fillet, raisin jus, charred confit onion purée, honey glazed carrot, broccolini

Course 4: Rosemary grilled venison, creamed barely, beetroot purée, pickled baby marrow, port wine jus

Course 5: Vanilla bean baked yoghurt, caramelised white chocolate, cocoa soil, mango sorbet, fresh strawberry.
