The Sweet Service Award goes to TakeaLot, the delivery service I trust, not being a fan of online ordering generally. I found a reasonably priced USP to keep my internet router going, and ordered one as well as some cat food. I was given a one week delivery time, probably due to the USP availability, but the actual delivery was done in two working days after placing the order. The company communication about the delivery is easy, and even allowed me to change the delivery date to suit my availability.
The Sour Service Award goes to Trecastelli in Blouberg, where I met with a friend for coffee yesterday afternoon. I arrived earlier than my friend, chose a seat on a blue bench outside, and was told by a waitress that it belongs to Catch 22. I had to find a Trecastelli table closer to the street, she said. However each table was dirty, and there was no Trecastelli staff to be seen. Being a sunny warm afternoon I looked forward to Gelato, advertised on their wall inside the restaurant. We spoke to a waiter, who told us that they are not doing Gelato in winter (it was 24C yesterday)! The ice coffee and cream was served in a cup and was presented messily, with cream running over the rim of the cup. The laminated menu looked tacky and worn. Overall the restaurant gave an impression of total customer disinterest and neglect!
