There are not any restaurants that I know of that have launched an App for their restaurant. Now Villa 47, which has been open for over a year on three floors of the building in which it operates on Bree Street, has launched an App for its three restaurants. 

An introduction and welcome is written by the two Villa 47 co-owners Luciano Previtera and Michele Mirotto . They state that it is a family tradition to share trusted and quality produce. Equally Villa 47 ‘is the gastronomic manifestation of the last twenty years of sourcing, selecting and delivering the finest ingredients and food brands from around the world to discerning palates such as yours’, referring to its wholesale division Rialto Foods, which opened twenty years ago, but not by name. Users of the App are invited to share the owners’ passion for great food.  

The first restaurant to open at Villa 47 was Locanda, in March 2016. It quickly became my favorite.

The App is divided into three sections, one each for the three restaurants Locanda (photograph below), Stuzzico, and Restaurant. Each restaurant page carries a short description, and then icons, which are the same
for each restaurant, can be opened for more information:

#  About  – an introduction to the specific restaurant, the cuisine style, with breakfast, lunch and dinner times for Mondays to Saturdays.

#   Menu –  menus for Specials, Breakfast, and Lunch and Dinner 

#   Reservations  –  reservation system

 #   360 degree Gallery  – a collection of photographs of the restaurant 

#   Inside Villa 47  –  chef profiles, the company background, which began with the importation of international products via Villa 47 parent company Rialto Foods. 

#   Shop  –  a service to online shop at Rialto Foods

#   Recipes   –  many of the dishes’ recipes are provided 

#   Ratings & Reviews   –  links to TripAdvisor, as well as a Villa 47 rating of dishes are requested

#   Capture the moment  –  a link to one’s phone camera, but instructions are not provided

#    Glossary  –   Italian names are translated into English, and written phonetically to guide the correct Italian pronunciation

#   Notifications  –  this page is not yet operational. 

#   VIP  –  this section is not yet complete 

The three Restaurants are described as follows:

1.  Locanda: ‘we offer relaxed, traditional Italian fare with a contemporary twist. Locanda translates  as ‘inn’ or ‘hotel’, and while accommodation isn’t on the menu here, we do intend to make you feel right at home’. 

     2.  Stuzzico:  ‘meaning appetizer or snack, is our Mediterranean – Asian fusion tapas and cocktail bar where you can enjoy small sharing plates and casual dining’. 

    3.   Restaurant: ‘At our top floor dining concept, the Restaurant at Villa 47, you can expect boutique fusion dining with only the finest ingredients, combining an exclusive experience with an experimental Asian influence’.
