* SA Tourism has suspended its USA Country Manager Sthu Zungu and Trade Relations Manager Virginia Dionisio, based on input through a whistle-blower campaign, appearing to be related to an ethics issue. Acting Country Manager will be Monika Iuel.
* La Parada is the buzziest eatery on foodie Bree Street in Cape Town, writes Sarah Khan in the New York Times. Now that Chef Andrés Conde has arrived, he sees it as his task to teach the locals how to eat Tapas. He is also redesigning their menu. Chef Andrés warns that one should not expect Michelin star cooking at La Parada, despite his background at ElBulli and Tickets in Spain!
* It’s the end of Movember soon, and innovative Uber sent Barbers on Demand from Edge for Men to the homes or businesses of macho-moustache-men today. ‘They will create a slick set up complete with a barber’s chair and rug. They will give you a hot towel shave, crafting your Mo to the max, all while you sip on ice cold craft beer. That’s not all, riders who request a Barber on Demand will also get a great pamper pack to take away with them including products from Bluebeards Revenge and vouchers for EDGE for men’.
