*   CNN has posted a list of ’10 sensational South African wine farms’, written by Claire Hu:  Creation for its ‘stunning location’, La Colombe at Constantia Uitsig for its food (sadly closing down shortly), Upland Estate in Wellington for its ‘Hippie vibe‘,  Waterkloof for its views, Groote Post for its Cape Dutch heritage, Blaauwklippen for its children’s activities, Weltevrede in Robertson for its accommodation, Crystallum Wines (owned by brothers Peter-Allan and Andrew Finlayson) for its innovation, Fairview for ‘the extras‘, and Stark-Condé Wines for its unusual tasting experience.

*   Today and tomorrow the first ever World Travel Market Africa takes place in the Cape Town International Convention Centre, as part of Africa Travel Week, which commenced on Monday.  The Travel Week consisted not only of World Travel Market, but also International Luxury Travel Market Africa, and the Incentives, Business Travel and Meetings Africa, reported The New Age.  More than 500 international tourism buyers are expected to attend, with 4500 trade visitors.  Being held just a few days before Indaba in Durban, the Africa Travel Week has ruffled some SA Tourism feathers!

*   South Africa has won the Global Traveler Award for Best Safari Destination for the second year running.

*   TripAdvisor has a list of ’10 unique beaches you need to see to believe’.  Boulder’s Beach is the only South African beach on the list!

*   Cape Point Vineyards, subject of a hard-hitting exposé by Noseweek, has received permission from the City of Cape Town to operate its (already running) restaurant and market.
