* SAA is now charging R570 for domestic flights and R 1140 for international flights per ticket for no-shows, reports Travel News Weekly.
* Four Gold Awards went to South African wines (out of 16 entered) at the Councours Mondial du Sauvignon Blanc last week: Delaire Graff Estate Coastal Cuvée 2014, Diemersdal 8 Rows 2014, Maastricht 2014, and Steenberg The Black Swan 2013.

* The Western Cape Government, with co-sponsor Shoprite, has launched the 2015 Western Cape Farm Worker of the Year Competition, with prizes to the total value of R2,4 million, and a main prize of R100000. Minister of Economic Opportunities Alan Winde said about the competition: ‘This initiative celebrates excellence in the agricultural sector.
