*   SA Tourism has appointed FCB South Africa as its new lead marketing agency, to handle a complete package of communication, including above-the-line, below-the-line, through-the-line, PR, digital, and media planning and buying. The agency will handle both domestic and international marketing.

*.  Interesting news is that KWV has launched its own proudly South African hand-crafted Kalahari truffle-infused super-premium London dry boutique gin named Cruxland.  A total of nine exotic signature botanicals has been infused in the 100% grape spirits. The product will be sold locally, via Yuppiechef, and internationally. (received via media release from Tin Can PR)

*   The 25th Veritas Awards is calling for entries, which close on 25 August. The Awards toast the best South African wines and brandies, which will be announced at a gala dinner on 9 October. Tastings of Double Gold and Gold winners will be hosted nationally thereafter. (received via media release from Marlene Truter Communications)

*   Graham Beck winemaker Erika Obermeyer will introduce her Game Reserve range at the One&Only Cape Town, pairing her wines with a 4-course Wine&Dine dinner at Reuben’s on 25 August. Cost is R395, inclusive of the wines. (received via newsletter from One&Only Cape Town)

*   The Pepperclub Hotel & Spa invites First Thursday visitors to experience the artwork they have displayed in the hotel lobby, and to taste wines of the Baccarat range this Thursday 6 August.  Tapas are available to try with the tasting, while DJ Paul Franks makes the music.  (received via media release from Epic MSL Group)
