*   The Western Cape government has supported 16 wine estates in exhibiting their wines at the Yantai International Wine Exposition in China, with both Minister of Tourism Alan Winde and Minister of Agriculture Gerrit van Rensburg attending the show last weekend.

*   Dr Salifou Siddo of the Tourism Enterprise Partnership says that tourism is on the up (a pity we cannot see it in the Cape!)

*   Green Point Urban Park has been awarded the Trophy for Best Maintained Gardens in South Africa at the South African Landscape Institute’s awards, reported the Atlantic Sun.  It also receievd Gold Awards for its maintenance, as well as for its Biodiversity Gardens.  Green Point Park received 1,4 million visitors in 2012.

*   An increase in Indian tourists visiting South Africa is expected for this year, says SA Tourism’s Country Manager Hanneli Slabber.
