M-Net is slowly rolling out details about its MasterChef Season 4, set to air on 28 February for the first time, at 18h00, on Mondays – Thursdays.
We know the names of the three new judges and we know the name of the new venue at which the filming took place.
Now we are introduced to the 20 home cooks who made the finals.
I took a walk through Instagram today, to get an idea of what the top ten chefs and restaurants of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants List are dong right now, many are lucky enough to be getting ready to open up for service again, while others remain closed for sit-down Service, and are cooking for their communities.
The World’s 50 Best Restaurant awards will not be held in 2020, having been scheduled to take place in Antwerp last week. The awards have been postponed to 2021. In our country Eat Out has announced that it too will postpone its Award ceremony.
Chef Chantel Dartnall of Restaurant Mosaic at The Orient outside Pretoria Facebooked her good news of making the 2020 Top 200 in the La Liste ranking of the 1000 top-mentioned restaurants in the world. Her restaurant was ranked around number 110 on this list, the joint highest ranked South African restaurant with The Yest Kitchen with a score of 94%. In Singapore today The Test Kitchen moved from 50th position last year to number 44 on the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurant list, and was recognised as the Best in Africa. Mirazur in Menton was named the World’s 50 Best top restaurant, not without controversy surrounding a significant change in the rules regarding the top spot this year. The 18th ‘truly global’ ceremony of the Awards was women-dominated, to make up for their past under-representation. Continue reading →
