Sweet Service Award goes to the Travel Clinic; Sour Service Award goes to Discovery Vitality!

The Sweet Service Award goes to the Travel Clinic, and its Dr Etienne Fourie and assistant Debbie Gresak, who managed to squeeze me in with no booking for a Yellowfever vaccination for an overseas trip, having been recommended by Grant from the Bantry Bay Pharmacy. Debbie did the paper work, spoke to the doctor to squeeze me in before a delayed patient, and offered to claim for part of the cost from Discovery! Excellent friendly service, Continue reading →

Clicks and Bantry Bay pharmacies Sweet Service and Camps Bay Primary School Sour Service Awards!

Clicks pharmacyThe Sweet Service Award goes to Clicks Glengariff Road and Bantry Bay pharmacies for their excellent service on Easter Sunday.  Despite our housekeeper Teresa having spent most of the day at the Somerset Hospital clinic to obtain a monthly doses of medication earlier in that week, they had run out of her medication.  Having helped us once before, pharmacist Arthur at Clicks Glengariff Road assisted us with the prescription bar one set of tablets.  They were available at Diskem, but they would not supply them to us without a script.  Our doctor’s rooms were not open and their telephone was not answered, to obtain a script.  We drove to Bantry Bay pharmacy, where we were given a generic equivalent of the medication which Teresa needed, without a script. Bantry Bay Pharmacy Sweet and Robben Island Museum Sour Service Awards

The Sweet Service Award  goes to the Bantry Bay Pharmacy, which I support on occasion, but not regularly.  When I went there yesterday to have a blood glucose test done, the kind pharmacist said that he had something to give me – a blood glucose monitoring kit, costing R800, which he gave me for free, as a rep had just left a spare one with him, he said.   I will be a dedicated loyal customer of the Bantry Bay Pharmacy, after such kindness.

The Sour Service Award  goes to Robben Island Museum, for the most recent and regular breakdown of its ferry, taking tourists to the historic Robben Island.  This is the seventh breakdown since the R 26 million Sikhululekile ferry was first used in February 2008.  The last breakdown was just days before the start of the World Cup.
