Clicks and Bantry Bay pharmacies Sweet Service and Camps Bay Primary School Sour Service Awards!

Clicks pharmacyThe Sweet Service Award goes to Clicks Glengariff Road and Bantry Bay pharmacies for their excellent service on Easter Sunday.  Despite our housekeeper Teresa having spent most of the day at the Somerset Hospital clinic to obtain a monthly doses of medication earlier in that week, they had run out of her medication.  Having helped us once before, pharmacist Arthur at Clicks Glengariff Road assisted us with the prescription bar one set of tablets.  They were available at Diskem, but they would not supply them to us without a script.  Our doctor’s rooms were not open and their telephone was not answered, to obtain a script.  We drove to Bantry Bay pharmacy, where we were given a generic equivalent of the medication which Teresa needed, without a script.

Camps Bay Primary SchoolThe Sour Service Award goes to the Camps Bay Primary School and its principal Stuart Collier, who took a week to return our call, after calling daily and leaving messages with his unfriendly secretary! I called to report the poor driving of the Elwierda bus transporting the learners of his school, driving into the oncoming traffic lane, and almost annihilating my car driving in that lane.  The bus was far too large for the residential street, and caused a severe traffic back-up behind the bus and in the lane in which I was driving, necessitating all of us to reverse, to allow the bus to move forwards and backwards a number of times.  Mr Collier was not interested in my feedback, saying it suited the school and the parents to have the children picked up outside the school, even if it is an inconvenience to the residents living near the school.  When I told him that I would communicate the problem to the Atlantic Sun, as he did not appear to be interested in my feedback, he became really angry, saying that he did not like my ‘tone’ and no longer wished to speak to me, throwing a tantrum like one of his learners would!
