The Sweet Service Award goes to Cape Plumbing and Bathroom Supplies on Strand Street, which previously operated as On Tap, an outlet which has always offered good service. Even though I don’t go there frequently, I received a friendly personalised welcome by name from the manager.   I was attended to quickly, requiring a basin plug.  The manager offered the plug for free, as a New Year’s gift, saying it would cost him more to open an invoice than the R3 cost.  It was a small gesture which meant a lot in a very busy period last week.
