#grateful for a beautiful summer day at 27C, sunny and warm; for a me-catch-up day; for starting to write Blogposts for the week ahead; for cleaning up litter in a green belt off Fullham Road in Camps Bay with Rondebosch Boys High learners Benn and Troy McWilliam, filling 6 garbage bags; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙

#Grateful for a quiet and peaceful me-day, being proactive in writing three Blogposts for the week ahead, as well as an afternoon nap; for the fabulous peace and quiet in our building, with only one tenant left; for missing out on Loadshedding tonight, and planning around that for the next two days; for a lovely refreshing two hour walk, up the 100 Houghton Steps, fetching the two McWilliam brothers who are helping me clean up Camps Bay for their Rondebosch Boys High Community Service project, finding litter in bushes left by homeless persons; and for being happy, healthy, and free 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for a day of wonderful rain; for celebrating the birthday of Jenny Stephens at Hemelhuijs, to which I hadn’t been in years, having a lovely breakfast, being gifted a glass of birthday bubbly each, and having the pleasure of owner Jacques Erasmus coming to our table to chat; for getting to the restaurant and back home without getting wet; for lovely afternoon rain; for a one hour dry gap to walk, doing a power walk along my secret Bakoven lanes; for writing Blogposts for next week already; for gorgeous (almost) peace and quiet in our building, most renters appearing to have left; for fabulous sunsets despite the grey sky; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for yet another beautiful day, at 23C, with no wind; for a busy writing day, feeling cross-eyed at the end of the afternoon; for two meetings cancelled, giving me more time and space to finish my work ahead of the weekend; for enjoying setting up my new iPad, luckily having all my passwords on hand; for a short snooze this afternoon; for a lovely peaceful walk with Vivian Warby, sitting at the Tidal Pool, so grateful for the sunset and catching up on each other’s day; for a walk to Bakoven after Viv left; for a very successful Blog week, with very good readership of my posts, especially the one of yesterday about KLEIN JAN having opened in the Kalahari; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
