Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for the Blessing of this beautiful 24C ‘summer’ day, with a light breeze, being able to wear a summer dress; for our flat calm ocean after it being so wild and angry earlier this week; for meeting dear friend Jenny Stephens here for a walk and then spoilt with a coffee/tea and a croissant 🥐 at Maison J; for a flood of amazing messages received on Facebook about the Camps Bay clean-up yesterday, very humbling how it is appreciated; for meeting Facebook Friend Lynne Gordon near the Tidal Pool, singing my photography praises to her friend Linda Gawronsky, asking me to photograph them in the Tidal Pool, and promising a meet up, she saying that we are both optimists; for heaps of praise from a fellow walker, who said she knew it was I who created the transformation in Camps Bay yesterday after the storm; for having so much to be grateful for, with the company of my gorgeous Minsky, so at home here, and to be able to live in this fabulous Camps Bay; for bumping into a German family on my walk which I used to see at classical music concerts, what an amazing reunion ❤️, the cherry on my day; for an efficient and friendly shop at our Woolies; for Loadshedding having disappeared as quickly as it arrived; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful ‘Spring’ Day, wearing shorts and a sleeveless top, dressed for a hard day’s work; for the wonderful satisfaction of spending five hours in cleaning up the Camps Bay Beachfront, removing kelp and beach sand, with the help of local resident Haakon and a number of homeless persons, getting Camps Bay back into shape again after the winter storm; for Haakon’s generosity in buying coffee and croissants at Maison J, the homeless persons saying it felt as if they had come to Camps Bay on ‘holiday’, to be spoilt so ❤️❤️❤️; for the loan of a broom and spade from The Bay Hotel, and a broom from Vida é Caffe; for no Loadshedding;  and for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
