Thursday 3 June 2021, day 4 of Adjusted Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a warmer day at 20C, thanks to last night’s strong south-easter; for a productive work morning, getting all my preparations for my client meeting done, with time for a Camps Bay walk; for fetching my Dinkel rolls; for a short meeting with my Zest Chef client; for a good Utopia status meeting; for a New Kings Boutique Hotel client meeting, three in a row; for a Bakoven walk, just missing the sunset; for a day without Loadshedding; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 7 of Level 1, 7 March 2021

Sunday 7 March 2021, Day 7 of Level 1, Day 347 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a cool 19C light drizzle grey day, a first touch of autumn; for being relaxed, my first deep and long sleep night of the past week; for an amazing 3 hour catch-up tea/coffee and shared omelet with Vivian Warby at The 41, not having seen each other in more than two months, brainstorming and getting practical Social Media tips from each other, Emma of the restaurant spoiling us as always; for two Camps Bay walks, bumping into German swallows Thomas and Haakon on the first, and ‘buying’ the Daily Maverick 168 at Pick n Pay and Tex Chocies on the second ; for there being minimal litter today, with not too many picnickers; for a wonderful afternoon snooze; for a chat with Stuart Bailey, introducing a new service at his De Vleispaleis this week; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Thursday 23 April 2020, Day 39 of SA Corona Virus, Day 28 of SA Lockdown. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another day, even if a little cooler due to the cloud cover; for being able to count so many blessings, even though I feel more tearful when I hear certain songs, and I hear the lovely stories about Kfm and Lotto Star donating money to persons and families struggling to make ends meet; for being able to write, and having the discipline to sit down in the mornings, keeping my mind agile, and for stories falling into my lap; for my excellent health, especially in this time, my blood sugar being at my lowest level ever today, at 3,4, having been a Diabetes Type 2 sufferer for years, until I lost the 45 kg two years ago, and for my weight today being exactly the same as today one month ago, being able to dance/walk every day in my home during Lockdown; and for being healthy and happy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
