Western Cape launches Cruise Cape Town! More than 80 Cruise liners headed for Cape Town in 2021!

 

Wesgro is actively working on attracting cruise liners to Cape Town, and has proudly announced the booked arrival of 83 cruise liners before the end of this year. The local cruise season is set to begin in October.

Last year it launched Cruise Cape Town, a collaboration between a number of role players such as Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT); the City of Cape Town (CoCT); V&A Waterfront; Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA); the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA); and Wesgro. Today Makers Landing opens in the V&A Waterfront, at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal, it offering ‘authentic South African food and its diversity is shared and celebrated’.

Corona Virus: V&A Waterfront closes key attractions, but continues to trade!

 

After a crisis meeting on Tuesday, the management of the V & A Waterfront has announced the temporary closure of the Two Oceans Aquarium and the Zeitz MOCAA Museum, as well as the cancellation of all public events at its precinct, in its reaction to the National Disaster announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday.
