Saturday 6 November 2021, Day 37 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a mixed day of energy and of relaxation; for a cool day of 19C; for a light traffic drive to Harvest Culture Eaterie at Tyger Falls Waterfront for a Status meeting, served my favorite Dilmah Earl Grey tea with a slice of their newest Baked Cheesecake cake addition, so beautifully presented; for getting a Business Card designed at Wizardz in the Waterfront, using a special, realizing that for what I do I need a card, mine being at least 3 years out of date; for a shock discovery of the sign of the times that CNA and the Post Office have closed down in the Waterfront, although the post boxes are Continue reading →

Monday 26 April 2021, Day 57 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a cooler day, rain forecast to fall tonight; for surviving a short night’s sleep, ‘watching’ the Oscars on Twitter until I fell asleep early this morning; for two more sleep catch ups; for a very busy morning, busier than usual, with phone calls interrupting my work, when I thought everyone took the day off today 😱; for two walks today, a shorter Bakoven one with Vivian Warby, and a longer uphill power walk up Houghton Road; for a lovely tea meet with Adrienne Jacobson, a fellow Camps Bay resident; for lovely service from a shelf packer at Woolies, when I asked him what I should buy for my soup, recommending carrots, green beans, and butternut; and for being happy, healthy, and free 🙏💙. Friday 26 March 2021, Day 26 of Level 1, Day 365 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a day that turned out to be completely different to planned, making it even better; for a cold windy start to the day ending with clear skies, even though rain is forecast for tonight; for getting all my writing done very early this morning, having to be at a meeting in town at 9h30, with two other meetings back to back planned thereafter; for an interesting client meeting discussing an Interior refurb as well as a website overall, exciting to be part of the transformation; for a fabulous meeting with Emily O’Ryan, an impressive 23 year old working on her second book, for which she interviewed me; for being late for the next meeting, so I went to Hertex to look for wallpaper samples for the restaurant refurb, and having a bite of lunch there; for a pop in at Lazari looking for their fabulous mini chicken, leek and mushroom pies, not available but I took home some other treats; for a wonderful afternoon snooze; for a wonderful walk with Vivian Warby through Bakoven, spending lovely time on Beta Beach, each expressing our gratitudes of the day; for seeing the almost-Full Moon coming over the side of Table Mountain; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
