Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a sunny day, even if it was accompanied by the most incredibly strong South Easter, a first sign of Summer; for a very relaxed day; for getting some end of the month admin done; for buying electricity at half the rate of the past; for our Kalahari Biltong shop having reopened, and going to support them with a droĂ« wors treat, when I did a Camps Bay walk; for the City of Cape Town having repaired the leak on the Beachfront; for a lovely warming up snooze in bed, watching a movie, being so cold this afternoon; for the arrival of the first international tourists at Cape Town International today; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to Famous Kalahari Biltong; Sour Service Award goes to Vodacom!

 

The Sweet Service Award goes to Famous Kalahari Biltong in Camps Bay, and its assistant Erika, for gifting me a packet of droĂ« wors when she felt that she had been unfriendly to me a few weeks ago. From being not so nice when I first shopped there, she now waves at me when I walk past, and was very welcoming when I went there to buy some Biltong for my son before he returned to the UK.
