*   UK travelers make their travel bookings via the internet, in preference to calling, and are largely guided by personal recommendations made by friends, family, and colleagues.

*   South Africa is expected to source most of its tourists from India by 2020, according to SA Tourism Country Manager Hannelie Slabber.  Reasons for the increase are better airline connections, and our country’s growing reputation as a business and leisure tourism destination. Our big cities have been the focus of the marketing to date, but now Hermanus, Franschhoek, Port Elizabeth, and Stellenbosch will be promoted.

Melissa’s Sweet Service and W Café Sour Service Awards!

MelissasThe Sweet Service Award goes to Melissa’s in the V&A Waterfront, and its new Manager Natasha, for assisting me in having a table near their till set up, so that I could charg and work on my laptop while waiting for my iPhone screen to be replaced at iFix.  Sadly the MWeb V&A Waterfront internet service did not work, even though it showed the wifi symbol and reflected connectivity.  No e-mails downloaded and web pages did not open, apparently due to the V&A Waterfront wifi service not working throughout the whole shopping mall!
