Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a day of extreme contrasts, waking up to the dreadful news of the UK putting us back on the Red List, with the rest of the world (or so it seems) banning flights from our country, the UK, Germany, and the USA bans hitting our tourism industry particularly hard, my clients and tourism players devastated today, but we’ve been through tough times before and we will survive; for a wonderful 7 hour continuous sleep, and then firing away with the work which needed to be done this morning; for the rain holding off when I was in town to attend a Brand talk hosted by Tania Olivier, meeting such lovely marketing girls sitting next to me, exchanging restaurant news, especially about Continue reading →

11 June 2020, Day 11 of Level 3, after 66 days of Lockdown Levels 5 and 4. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for hordes of rain overnight and today, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, but not as dramatic as it sounded, expected for the whole morning, but it was short-lived; for the comfort of my bed, in which I wrote this morning, with Minsky lying next to me to keep warm; for the size of our garage here, allowing me to do a good number of steps before the sun came out for a while, so that I could do a walk to the Beachfront and back, not getting as wet on my walk as I did yesterday; for the brandy I have in my home to add to my tea to warm myself up inside; for having my own home-made soup in the fridge, sharing some with Henry at lunchtime; for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
