MasterChef Season 4 rolls out a completely new set of Judges!

 

MasterChef Season 4 is starting on 28 February, and slowly M-Net is revealing details about its new series.

Now the station has announced its three brand new judges, possibly a disappointment for many who loved the tough Chef Pete Goffe-Wood, the charming Chef Benny Masekwameng, and the grey-shoes grey-suit Chef Reuben Robertsons  Riffel.

Last month I shared the first details of the new Series. Now we know the names of the three judges, and that the winner will receive a R1 million prize and the MasterChef title.  Continue reading →

MasterChef SA to make a 4th Season comeback after a six year absence!

 

It was a chance remark from a chef that I was alerted to the news that MasterChef SA is to make a comeback…. but the news is scant!

The history of MasterChef SA : MasterChef had three seasons in South Africa, with Chefs Pete Goffe-Wood and Bennie Masekwameng as judges in all three seasons. Chef Reuben Riffel joined the third season as a judge. The filming took place at Nederburg. Robertsons was the main sponsor. V&A Waterfront celebrates 30th anniversary, SA’s Top tourist attraction!

 

The V & A Waterfront has issued a commemorative issue of its Winter 2021 magazine to honour ‘30 years of hope, connection and the best of the V & A’.

It is a reflection on the history of the establishment of the Waterfront in 1990 as well as its growing expansion and development, the harbour area which has become South Africa’s most popular tourist attraction. Continue reading →

Western Cape launches Cruise Cape Town! More than 80 Cruise liners headed for Cape Town in 2021!

 

Wesgro is actively working on attracting cruise liners to Cape Town, and has proudly announced the booked arrival of 83 cruise liners before the end of this year. The local cruise season is set to begin in October.

Last year it launched Cruise Cape Town, a collaboration between a number of role players such as Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT); the City of Cape Town (CoCT); V&A Waterfront; Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA); the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA); and Wesgro.
