Corona Virus Lockdown: Government announces final Level 4 regulations commencing on 1 May 2020, reverses cigarette sales and allows exercise!

 

In a Speech to the media this evening, Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma went through the key regulations contained in the 36 page document of the new Lockdown Level 4 regulations. Tobacco product smokers are beside themselves in anger, having been told that the sale of such products would be allowed from 1 May, only to be reversed again this evening.  Exercising is allowed with a 5 km radius from one’s home, but only between 6h00 – 9h00 in the morning, the assumption being that dogs may now accompany exercisers, having been cooped up in their homes for five weeks. Schools are scheduled to start reopening on 18 May for Grade 7 and Grade 12 learners, it was announced earlier today. Wine exports appear to be allowed again.  Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for the gorgeous soft rain falling all day, the grey day not getting me down at all; for feeling energetic in cleaning today, taking the apartment block garbage bin out, dancing with the vacuum, tackling another shelf of my kitchen/lounge to tidy up, and finding a box with 6 wines… ; for clearing out Apps I never use and finding one in which I can store all my store loyalty cards; for attending to some email admin; for Woolies once again being amazing in organizing some Essentials for me, which I’ll fetch tomorrow when the rain clears; for the happy dancing music on Kfm this afternoon; for a little afternoon rainy-day lie in; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
