Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, at 21 C, with morning mist, the clouds clearing, and rain clouds on their way; for the most beautiful sunsets tonight; for being in touch with friends from around the world; for being motivated and inspired by the TED Talk of ‘Eat Pray Love’ author Elizabeth Gilbert; for the further excellent service of Woolworths Camps Bay, getting an item for me in less than 24 hours; for hearing the praise by Bill Gates of our President Cyril’s handling of the pandemic in our country and the rest of Africa too, on the Trevor Noah show today; for Kfm’s fabulous music to dance and walk to; for feeling excited to be observing this World Event from the comfort of my home; and for being fit, heathy, and happy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

*   Creative Week Cape Town forms part of the Loerie Awards being held from 14 – 22 September, with a range of ‘crowd-sourced’ events on offer at no charge.  Cape Town will be turned ‘inside out’ , offering film, yoga, night time bicycle rides to street art installation, artist’s tours and talks, gatherings, poetry,and public space pop-ups. *   SA Tourism has launched a new ‘Bucket List’ TV commercial for the Australian market, which includes Cape Town, the Winelands, and shark cage diving. Unfortunately no city/town names are mentioned at all, and whales don’t feature.

*   The Peninsula All Suite Hotel is hosting a Wine&Dine dinner on Thursday 25 July, pairing with Graham Beck Wines (via CSA media release)

*   Six semi-finalists for the Bollinger Exceptional Wine Service Award 2013 have been announced, two being from the Western Cape, according to Hazell PR & Wine Consultants:
